The benefits of the rosehip oil 100% are manifold due to its excellent properties such as tissue regenerator. It is a very appropriate oil for the prevention and treatment of skin problems such as the appearance of stretch marks. They appear mainly due to pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, growth or sudden changes in weight.

It is worth noting that our skin has three layers - epidermis, dermis and hypodermis - and that stretch marks (skin atrophies) are breaks in the tissue fibres in the dermis. -and which manifest themselves in the epidermis. The dermis is the most elastic layer of the skin and when it is stretched over a long period of time its fibres break. In response to the breakdown, the skin strengthens itself by increasing the amount of supporting fibres, known as collagen. And these new support fibres are what we call stretch marks.

At first stretch marks have a pinkish or reddish tone and at this stage they are easy to treat as they are in their inflammatory stage. But with time they become whitish and this is when they turn into scars. They appear in both women and men and usually on the belly, hips, buttocks, legs, thighs, arms, back and breasts.

Benefits of rosehip oil and application

Stretch marks do not appear overnight and their treatment does not give immediate results either. From Soivre we believe that it is important to be consistent when applying rosehip oil: For example, by following a suitable and constant treatment for 4-6 months, we can obtain very satisfactory results on the appearance of our skin.

It should be noted that no cosmetic treatment such as laser, chemical peels, dermabrasion and microdermabrasion can 100% remove stretch marks in their whitish phase. The good thing about Rosehip oil is that it disguises them in an 80% and prevents their appearance.

As we have already mentioned, this oil is an excellent tissue regenerator. It contains abundant saturated and unsaturated fatty acids (Omega 6), transretinoic acid, vitamin C, beta-carotene, flavonoids and tannins.

When applying the rosehip oil, it is advisable to apply the following treatment to the area of stretch marks to be treated Gently massage in a circular motion for about five minutes. If possible, two massages per day are recommended. Another factor to take into account for correct application is that the skin must be clean: This way we favour a better absorption of the oil.

Finally, remember that the best anti-stretch mark treatment is prevention. A well-nourished (with vitamins A, E and C) and hydrated dermis is able to withstand tissue bulking and stretching without creating stretch marks.
