The trends for this Christmas season are marked by the usual classics, but with some new additions that you are going to like.
Here's what you can't miss in your colour palette: reds, nudes, golds, glitter, matte grey, greens, smoky shades and above all, you have to count this year with the maxi eyeliner.
This year, we may not have many occasions to show off our make up, but we encourage you all to continue with the Christmas spirit and give free rein to use the make up that best suits you and your personality, as you will be beautiful with or without it.
How do we start? Choose the perfect base
It's hard to believe, but the perfect foundation is the one that doesn't break your natural tone, the one that harmonises with your skin and enhances your natural beauty. There's no other secret than this: blend in with your skin tone. Remember that if you choose a foundation that goes with your skin and will help you to correct imperfections and bring uniformity to it. You'll get a more youthful look immediately. Don't try to look darker or tone down your skin tone. Not this Christmas.
1- Use highlighter
It's a must this Christmas. It will give you a fresh and festive touch. The highlighter will help imperfections disappear even more. Remember to apply it in a T-shape between your eyes and nose and give a touch of vitality to your cheekbones. Use it mostly on top of foundation, although many experts recommend it before and after as well.
2- The Maxi Eyeliner
We recommend that you first apply eyeliner and then apply eyeshadow. This way, you will get a more intense and extreme look. Authentically festive, as the colour of the eyelid will be more intense and you will get a more Christmas look, without losing elegance.
3- Glitter
A Christmas without glitter just isn't the same. Christmas is a good time to give free rein to your shiniest profile. For the most daring, the final touch with glitter will give your make up a touch of fantasy, very trendy. Apply it on your eyelids or on your lips.
5- Shades of Christmas
We continue with the eyes. We've talked about glitter and glitter, but what colours? One of the most marked trends this holiday season 2020 is the welcome to vibrant colours on the eyelids, apart from the classic gold that never fails and the green and matte grey tones that come in with force. The latter, light matte grey, is recommended for less risky looks that want to stand out with a touch of elegance.
6- Lips
The glitter also comes in the lips, but remember, you have to wear a balanced makeup, therefore, if we decide to give shine to our lips, we will choose matte shadows and cheekbones marked with a little colour, to focus the attention on our mouth. If, on the other hand, we want to highlight our eyes, we will place the brilli-brilli in our shadows, but we will lower the intensity of the make-up we choose to enhance our lips.
If we talk about colours, red is a sure hit, it is the colour of Christmas, party, New Year's Eve and passion. You can paint them with gloss, in matte tones, or with volume, this year, these three trends are the order of the day. Burgundy, cherry and even lilac tones are back in fashion. If you prefer more natural tones, nudes and pinks are also a safe bet.
Do you already know what look you're going to choose for the holidays? ;)
