What should I do for the SKIN CARE of the face? It's a question we ask ourselves when we look in the mirror and notice that, as if out of nowhere, some new imperfection appears on our face: wrinkles, spots, open pores... However, we can keep our skin looking fresh.
Taking care of the skin is a task that requires daily efforts and a correct application of quality products, preferably recommended by a dermatologist or specialist.
Generally speaking, there are some tips that work for all of us, which we share with you in this article.
Basic skin care tips
- It is advisable to cleanse the facial skin at least twice a day: when waking up, to eliminate waste toxins that come out through the pores during the night, and before going to sleep to leave the skin clean before its regeneration and rest process.
- Applying moisturiser day and night is highly recommended, especially for mature or dry skin. Moisturisers seal water loss through the epidermis, but remember that it is just as important to drink enough water.
- Moisturisers should be applied with both hands. The movements are upward, starting from the chin and spreading over the entire face. Always from top to bottom and from the centre outwards. Avoid touching the eye contour, as this area is more sensitive and prone to allergies.
- It is advisable to use a skin scrub at least twice a month. This will help to remove dead skin cells and speed up the renewal process. After a proper exfoliation the skin is ready to receive masks and moisturisers.
- Also don't forget to apply sunscreen after moisturiser or any beauty routine, even if the moisturiser has SPF. For very fair skin the minimum recommended application, especially during the summer, is 30 SPF.
More luminous and hydrated skin requires consistency. Every day it is easier to buy quality products at competitive prices both in pharmacies and in the online shops. Not to mention the whole arsenal of natural products that we have at home (cucumber, honey, olive oil...) and whose properties we can take advantage of.
The most important challenge is to find those ten minutes every day that add up to health and natural beauty.
